Director - Specialist Ophthalmologist
Peter Emeriewen M.D. is the founder and director of Onome Ophthalmology. He was born on 14 April 1957. Having started his secondary education abroad and continued his studies in Hungary, he graduated in 1982 from the Faculty of General Medicine at the University of Medical Sciences in Debrecen (now the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences).
He subsequently gained valuable experience in general medical practice abroad until 1989, after which he returned to Hungary. In 1991 he qualified as a specialist ophthalmologist and has worked exclusively in this field ever since. That same year he also obtained his contactology qualification. After several years of hospital practice, he founded Onome Ophthalmology in 1995, with the aim of providing high-quality, respectful care — free from the constraints that negatively affect service standards in public health institutions — to all patients who seek his help.
Peter Emeriewen M.D. is married, and three of his four children have already completed their medical degrees.
Nursing Staff
At our patient-centred practice, a well-trained and friendly nursing team ensures the comfort of patients before and after surgery. They stay by the patient's side whenever needed and are immediately available should anything be required. Patient comfort is their highest priority, and their presence helps ease concerns even in the most anxious patients. They are always happy to answer any questions, so patients can approach them with full confidence at any time.
